Following feedback from last year’s event with the All-Party Group on UNSCR 1325 Women Peace and Security, we organised a panel discussion and tour of Stormont Parliament Buildings and the Women In Parliament Exhibition with support from NI Assembly Community Connect. 30 women met female MLAs and political leaders and listened to a presentation on how the Assembly and Westminster work, the different voting systems, and discussed the upcoming general election. It was an engaging and lively day with lots of Q&A. Following this, we have collated the women’s thoughts and comments for Assembly questions in September.
